They're robust, low-noise and can handle contamination without costly downtime. High-speed shredders spin fast to size-reduce already clean, pre-sorted material into finer particles — better suited to plastics, light wood and RDF refinement where consistent output size is the priority.
Single-shaft shredders use a rotor against a fixed counter-comb and a screen to control output size — best for plastics, wood and producing spec-sized material in one pass. Twin-shaft shredders are aggressive primary machines for bulky, contaminated feedstock where output size consistency matters less than raw throughput. Four-shaft shredders combine the tearing power of twin shafts with a sizing screen, giving you controlled output from difficult material in a single machine.
